Peter founded Habitat Design shortly after emmigrating to Canada from Switzerland in 1973. He quickly developed a reputation for his European sense of design, craftsmanship and attention to detail. He has been sought out to design some of the finest homes around Calgary. He is now (mostly) retired but is available to consult on projects and contribute his more than 40 years of knowledge and experience.

Peter has climbed and paraglided all over the world. He made the first ascents of many big faces in the European Alps and has climbed over 8000m in the Himalaya.

Florian Jungen

Florian grew up surrounded by drafting tables and construction sites. He completed a master's degree in architecture at Dalhousie University in Halifax and then apprenticed at leading architecture firms across the globe from Berlin, to Montreal and Vancouver. Florian is a licensed and registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects. He has special interests in green building and design for remote mountain environments.

In his spare time, Florian carries on another family tradition, that of mountain adventure. He is a certified backcountry ski guide and leads ski touring and heli skiing groups when his schedule allows.
