Earth House, Glass House, Cave
From a buried concrete garage, an underground tunnel leads up into a glass pavilion with uninterrupted views of Okanagan Lake. A separate bedroom pavilion is wrapped in rusted steel and covered by a green roof. Several unconventional building systems are employed including a green roof, geothermal heating and cooling, custom fabricated rusted steel cladding panels, an exposed steel structure, structural insulated panels, and high performance glazing with commercial aluminum frames.
