Fir Grove House
A house set in a mature grove of fir trees overlooking Shuswap Lake.
Careful arrangement of buildings forms a series of protected and intimate outdoor spaces. Fir harvested on site is used throughout the building. Sand from the lot is used in the layered textures of a rammed earth masonry heater. Geothermal energy provides carbon free heating and cooling.
