Under Construction Massive glulam beams extend the length of a sweeping roof to shelter flowing and interior spaces beneath. Large picture windows allow for the experience of the surrounding Foothill environment throughout changing seasons, sunlight and chinook weather that rolls over the Front Ranges of the Rocky Mountains. A tough aluminum clad exterior contrasts with the warmth of wood structure and the cedar finishing of the roof. Durable construction results in high energy efficiency, a reduced environmental footprint, and very low energy bills. All the energy required to heat this house (including the hot tub) is drawn from geothermal wells with no natural gas connection to the house. |
